Light Afflictions

"Light Afflictions" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 4: 17—"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory".

God uses whatever happens . He turns bad into good. The afflictions you experience are used for a much greater purpose. He uses all things for your good. As you go throughout the day, be aware of God's presence and his ability to use all things for his glory. Even when it is not obvious to you, he uses your problems to improve you for his kingdom. He can take even the most hopeless of situations and work them for the good. Through afflictions he hones your skills and softens your personality. He creates in you a more patient and peaceful person to enable you to reach more people for God's glory and God's kingdom. It is God's desire that no one person be lost to him. He wants all to come to him and accept his salvation. There are no people who are worthless in the eyes of God. God does not give up on people and therefore you need not give up on people. Have more patience with those who are most difficult. The more difficult a person is the more he or she needs God. Let love, patience, and compassion be the rule of the day.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me show love, patience, and compassion to all people all the time. I pray I do not allow my own afflictions to hinder my work for your kingdom. I pray this in Christ's name, Amen.

What time

"What time" By Diane Webb

Psalms 56: 3—"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee."

When you are frightened and don't know what to do, God is with you. Put your faith and trust in God and he will lead you. He will direct your path. He will protect you in all things. You have no reason to fear because he is your Lord. Your purpose is to serve him and only him. Nothing else is more important than serving the Lord. He will place you where he wants you to be and when his work is done there he will place you somewhere else. Put your life in his hands and you need not fear. No matter what happens God is in control. He is in control of your life. He created you and he saved you. You belong to him. The world has no power over you but what God allows. He will sustain you through any situation in which you might be afraid. No one has power over you. Only God has power over you. You gave your life to Christ therefore that is who you work for. You work for Christ and Christ alone. Those with earthly power are weak. Their power is an illusion. They have a false sense of control. Do not be afraid and trust in the Lord. He will sustain you.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being in control of my life. I trust you completely to do what is right for me and my place in your kingdom. Help me not be afraid in the face of earthly power and authority. Help me always do your will. In Christ's name I pray, Amen.

What lasts forever

"What lasts forever" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 4: 18—"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

What you see will not last forever. What will last forever is what you cannot see. The spiritual aspect of everything is what is most important. Do not worry about material things. Do not fret about what is worldly and temporary. Focus on the eternal which is not of this world. Everything on earth is temporary. Even your body is temporary. The spiritual is ever-present. What you see is not everything. Do not get caught up in things that do not matter in the long run—in eternity. Ask yourself "will this matter in eternity?" Most likely the things you stress about will not matter in eternity. Look past what you see to what you cannot see. Always seek the spiritual.

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me look at the spiritual instead of the physical. I do not want to waste my time, energy, or financial resources on that which does not matter. I pray this humbly in Jesus' name, Amen.

Cast thy burden

"Cast thy burden" By Diane Webb

Psalms 55: 22—"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

Give all your burdens to the Lord. He will uplift you and hold you up. He will be your strength, your courage, and your salvation. Care not for the things of this world. Keep your eyes on the Lord. He will carry you through the hard times and will rejoice with you during the good times. Nothing can rattle you as long as the Lord is carrying your load. There will be good days and there will be bad days. Through it all trust the Lord has you in the palm of his hand. You need not feel stressed or tensed. If you give everything to the Lord he will not allow you to be un-nerved by what is going on. He will give you the ability to get through anything you have to get through. Your enemies will marvel at your poise. Your fortitude will be a testimony to the Lord you trust and love. He will sustain you.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for carrying my burden. Thank you for carrying me. I give all my worries, doubts, and insecurities to you Lord. I have no reason to feel uneasy, stressed, or upset. I am in the palm of your hand. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

After Death

"After Death" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 5: 1—"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

You have a house in heaven—made by God not man. Think of all the beauty God made on earth—the sunrise, the sunset, the mountains, the oceans, the flowers, and the many beautiful creatures. When you look at all the glorious wonders of God on earth can you just imagine the home he has made for you in heaven? If the earth, with the destructive touch of man and Satan, can still contain such magnificent scenes, you can expect heaven to be even more spectacular. The best man has created on earth cannot compare to the least of heavens. There is nothing but great and wonderful things to look forward to in eternity. Death on earth is only the beginning for Saints of God. Death represents the end of the worst part of your existence. When you die you have completed the bad part and you only have good to look forward to forever. Death is nothing to fear for you as a follower of Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your word today. Help me apply your truths to my life to achieve the best of my abilities for you. I am thankful for the exquisite beauty of your creation. I look forward to seeing you and the rest of your creation in heaven when, according to your will, I am called home. I pray in Christ's name, Amen.

Fear has no power

"Fear has no power" By Diane Webb

Psalms 49: 15—"But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah."

You have nothing to fear not even death itself. Allow fear to have no control or power over you. Worry is fear therefore do not let worry consumer you either. Give your fears and worries over to God. If he can deliver you from the grave he can certainly take care of the worries you have now. The things you worry about today will be meaningless in a year's time. Often these things won't matter in even a week. Some, surprisingly, don't matter in one day. Do not allow worries about things rob you of your sleep. God will take care of you. Put all your faith in Him and allow him to take care of things. Turn your concerns into prayers then trust God knows what is best for you and those you love. He understands your needs before you even have them. As you pray your prayer is being answered. Thanks be to God!

Dear Lord, forgive me for my worry which shows a lack of faith. Help me strengthen my faith and be able to eliminate all fear and worry from my mind. I pray that I not waste a single minute with worry and concerns. I give all my worries and fears to you, Lord, and I trust your way is best. I pray in Christ's name, Amen.

Have Confidence

"Have Confidence" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 7: 16—"I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things".

Put your faith in the Lord for all things. Have confidence he will hear your prayers. You are important to him. All of his children are important to him. Ask and he will answer you. Look for him and you will find him. He is there for you. Have confidence in Him in all things. No matter how small it seems to you, if it is part of you or your life it is important to God. Everything has a meaning and an effect on your life in one way or another. There are no neutral consequences. No decision is a minor one. There are only two sides to be on—for God or against God. There is no middle ground. Therefore, seemingly insignificant decisions are not insignificant at all. Decisions either lead to the path of God or away from it. Look to God before making any decisions large or small. Pray and seek his guidance. It is a cause to rejoice because with God all things are possible.

Dear Heavenly Father, please remind me throughout this day to pray over every decision no matter how small it might seem to me. Help me recognize your presence and your will in everything I say and do today. I ask this in Christ's name, Amen.

God Guides

"God Guides" By Diane Webb

Psalms 48: 14—"For this God is our God for ever and ever he will be our guide even unto death."

The Lord is your guide in all you do for the rest of your life. You have given your life to him so you belong to him. He will show you what to do and when to do it. You do not have to stay awake at night trying to figure things out. The Lord will make it clear to you what your next step needs to be. Rest easy and know you are in His hands now. There are no secrets kept from you or God would reveal them to you. You are where he wants you to be. He is in control. He knows what he is doing. Do not worry about things unseen. God has you in his hands and your life is going according to plan. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and let Him take care of everything else. Rebuke Satan who tries to plant seeds of doubt in your mind. Suspicion is never from God. When God reveals something to you there is a clear knowing. God does not use doubt and suspicion to lead you. These two things are from Satan to mix you up and create problems where none exist. Just trust in the Lord and keep worry-thoughts out of your mind.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me fight the doubts, worries, and suspicions that arise in my mind from time to time. Help me keep my eyes on Jesus and trust Him for guidance. I believe, Lord, you will tell me what I need to know. Help me, God, keep this in mind today. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Give freely

"Give freely" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 9: 6—"But this I say, he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

Sow into the kingdom of the Lord. Sow with words and acts of kindness. Sow with joy and enthusiasm. Sow graciously and generously. Do not be stingy with your resources whether they are financial, spiritual, or emotional. Give freely of yourself, your time, and your finances. The more generously you sow, the more generously you will reap. You have a lot to give and the Lord wants you to give. You are blessed abundantly therefore you are expected to give abundantly. You will reap greatly when you sow greatly. Watch you words and always speak with kindness in your voice. Sow seeds of love not hate. The Lord will provide for you and he will replace whatever you give freely of from your heart. This is his word for you today—give freely.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that your will be done in my life today. I pray I will sow bountifully as you lead me to do. Help me say and do the things you'd have me say and do. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Keep focused

"Keep Focused" By Diane Webb

Psalms 46: 3—"Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

When things get their worst, pause and reflect. Do not focus on the turmoil, strife, or stress. Meditate on the Lord. Don't get caught up in the details of the storm. Look for the Lord and listen for his voice. He will comfort you, guide you, and give you peace. You will have peace in the midst of the storm. Nothing will harm you and nothing will disturb you when you meditate on the Lord. Think on him and only him. When it gets chaotic—think on him. When it gets confusing—think on him. He is the only thing you need to focus on. All the rest of what is going on does not matter. Sometimes things going on are distractions to keep you from thinking on the Lord. Other times what's going on is a test to see if you will lose your focus. Never lose your focus on what is important. The only thing that matters is your relationship with God. Go easy throughout your day. Do not get upset or frustrated. Pause and reflect on the Lord every time things start to get stressful. In that moment of reflection, God will tell you what to do, if anything.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me remember these words today so I will not lose my focus. No matter what happens, help me keep my focus on you and only you. I pray, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Cheerful Giver

"Cheerful Giver" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 9: 7—"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

Give what your heart tells you to give—whether it's of money, of time, or of talent. Do not be resentful, boastful, or proud. Give according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This makes God happy. He loves what you give from your heart and he is the only one who knows what is truly in your heart. Do not look for praise, appreciation, or acknowledgement. Do not expect special treatment and admiration. If you cannot give or do from your heart pray about it and do what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. Giving or doing cheerfully is what God wants from you. He wants you to love him and do what you do out of that love—not out of fear or obligation; not out of expectation of a reward. Do not tell people what you have given or what you had done. Keep it between you and God. This way you can be sure there are no hidden agendas on your part (be sure you are not seeking admiration, praise, or gratitude). Do what you do out of love and rest knowing you've given your best for God.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me recognize when I am not giving with a cheerful heart—whether it's my tithes, offerings, time, or talent. I love you and I want to please you out of love. I do not need thanks from people. All I need is your love. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

The Lord is with you

"The Lord is with you" By Diane Webb

Psalms 46: 2—"Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea."

No matter what happens, do not be afraid. The Lord is with you. The earth can shake and mountains can fall. The Lord is with you. Stand strong, stand firm, and be at peace. The Lord is with you. Do not fear situations, people, life, or problems. The Lord is with you. Talk to people, cheer people, lead people and the Lord will be with you. Have faith in his presence. He is there for you in time of need, time of plenty, time of want, and time of happiness. The Lord is with you. Pay no mind to things of this world because the kingdom of God is where your spirit belongs. You yearn for your true home in glory. This life is just temporary—no more than a blink of an eye. Your life eternal is where your true contentment lies--when you see your Lord face to face. You will be able to talk to him and ask him all you want to know. He will be there just as he is here. The Lord is with you.

Dear Lord, thank you for your presence. Thank you for being there for me. I pray you will forgive me of anything that I have done that comes between us. Help me forgive those who have hurt me. I want to be within your will all the time. Help me, Lord, keep your presence in my mind all day. I pray in Christ's name, Amen.

Sufficiency

"Sufficiency" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 9: 8—"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."

God will provide for you and extend his grace toward you so you will be able to do the good work he would have you do. You will not need to worry about money, food, shelter, or clothing. These things he will provide you so your focus will be on his work and his kingdom. He does not want you worrying about bills and future expenses. He wants you concentrating on the work he has given you to do. He will take care of the rest. He will bless you and you will be graciously provided for. This is his promise to you. You have submitted yourself and your life to him therefore you belong to him. He is your protector and your provider. Keep yourself from dwelling on bills. Trust him and he will provide for you in abundance.

Dear Lord, thank you for the health and wealth you have already provided for me and my family. I am so grateful for what you have done in my life. You have given me so much grace already. Thank you for my beautiful, smart children, my precious grand-daughter, and the new grand-daughter on her way. Help me trust you for my provision and focus better on the work you have given me to do. I ask in Christ's name, Amen.

Free Will

"Free Will" By Diane Webb

Psalms 46: 1—"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble".

God is very present in your life. He is there waiting and ready. He wants to talk to you, to walk with you, and to help you each and every day. In times of trouble he is there. Do not look around for people to help you first. Look to God first because he is your place of safety and your strength. No one else can do what he does for you. He gives you everything you need in good times and in bad times. He shores you up so you can withstand the onslaught of life. Remember to call on him because he is there all the time. Call on his name and he will help you. He is ever present so you need to be ever mindful of his presence. Some suffering is needless but you have to ask for help. He gives you free will which is why you have to ask for his help. He is standing beside you just waiting for you to ask. You never have to suffer alone and you always have someone to call on.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being there for me. I give up my free will to you and submit to your will in everything I say, think, and do. I no longer want my free will. I chose to turn my life over to you. Please take my life and use it for your kingdom and your will. I pray earnestly in Jesus' name, Amen.

Love & Peace

"Love & Peace" By Diane Webb

II Corinthians 13: 11—"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace: and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

The God of love and peace is with you. Let this be of comfort to you. As you talk with people who lack peace and who are full of hate, draw on the comfort of the Lord. Let his love and his peacefulness fill you. Let peace and love emanate from you so others cannot help but feel it. Love will show in your eyes. Your presence will create peace. You will be serene, gentle, and kind. Nothing can rattle you no matter what. You cannot be disturbed. As long as you live in peace with your fellow man, you can expect God to be with you. Never create or fan the flames of discontent. Jesus showed the way and his way is the perfect way. Jesus is your guide and your example.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being with me and helping me through each and every day. I pray, Lord, that I can be worthy in your sight. I pray that I can be an earthly representative of your love and your peace. I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Smile in your heart

"Smile in your heart" By Diane Webb

Psalms 40: 3—"And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord."

What comes out of your mouth can separate you from the Lord. God does not want you speaking ill of others (even if what you say is truthful). He wants each and every word you speak to bring him glory not shame. You do not have to be the one to speak the ugly truths. You are to only speak what is kind, wholesome, and uplifting to others. Leave the negative for someone else to speak—not you. Do not bad-mouth people and do not glorify past sins. Do not speak of all the things you have done and the "fun" you had as a sinner. This does not bring joy to the Lord and does not lift you up in his kingdom. Let the words of your mouth be pleasing in the Lord's sight. Hold your peace more than you speak. Keep a smile in your heart when you are talking to others. Let them see the light from within you shine forth through your eyes. Let them hear the peace of the Lord come out of your mouth. Never again let your words cause another's spirits to lower.

Dear Lord, forgive me for anything I have said that is displeasing to you. Thank you for pointing out the ways I have mistakenly hurt you and others. I pray for the self-control to keep my thoughts and words positive. Help me keep that smile in my heart. I ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Faith Testing

"Faith Testing" By Diane Webb

James 1: 3—"Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

Testing your faith increases your patience. Therefore, it is sometimes a good thing for you to endure temptation and strife. As you build your faith you also build your patience. Patience is increased as you endure. This is why you have to go through things sometimes. Each time you go through something you are strengthened in some way. As you wait for the fulfillment of God's promise your patience is increased. Patience is one of the best fruits of the Spirit. The mark of a true Christian is the ability to endure irritations, aggravations, and inconveniences for the sake of other people. Always put forth a caring, loving, and patient attitude toward others no matter what is going on with them. Some people are truly harder to deal with than others. These people need the gentle patience of a Christian more than anyone. It is easy to be patient with an easy-to-get-along-with person. The true test of faith is how you interact with those who are not so easy to get along with. The Holy Spirit will help you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I continue to pray for patience and increased faith. I pray to be the kind of Christian that gives people comfort and calms the disquieted. I want to be an example of true Christianity. Thank you for the help of the Holy Spirit. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

The Pits

"The Pits" By Diane Webb

Psalms 40: 2—"He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings."

Turn it all over to God and he will pull you up out of your terrible circumstances and get you going in the right direction—on firm, solid ground. Only God can do this for you. No one else can save you from this world, the situations, or from yourself. You have to reach up and grasp his hand. Hold on tight and never let go. He is the only one who can deliver you. Put your faith in nothing else or no one else. He will make your way safe. No matter how long you have been in the pit, no matter how far you have sunk in the clay, he will pull you out. All you have to do is ask and submit to his hand. Once out just listen for his guidance and he will direct your affairs. Look up to heaven for all your answers. You do not have to worry or get stressed about what to do or how to do it. Let God guide your feet, your words, your thoughts, and your actions. This is the way out of the pit.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your help and guidance. Thank you for delivering me from the pit and the clay. I gladly take your hand and follow you wherever you lead me. I seek your guidance and your direction. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Perfect work

"Perfect work" By Diane Webb

James 1: 4—"But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing".

God is working on you making you complete and perfect for the work he would have you do. There will be nothing in your character and skills that are lacking when he is done. He is making you exactly what you need to be. Relax and let patience work on you. Only through time can the work be completed. Let the rough edges be made smooth. Let all the kinks be worked out. When the time is right you will be perfect for the job he has for you. You will not have to study or prepare in any way. God is doing that with you now. Now you are being prepared and all you have to do is exercise patience while you wait. Do not get in a big hurry and do not be restless. Take it one day at a time until God is ready to move you. It will come. He knows the time. You will want for nothing when God is done with you. Rest for a while and just allow God to work on you and through you. Each and every day is another opportunity for a lesson. Look for the lesson and you will see how God is still working on you—preparing you. He is making you ready for the next assignment.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for working on me and through me. Help me be patient and learn the lessons you would have me learn. Help me submit to you completely so the time is not extended by my stubbornness or impatience. I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

God answers

"God answers" By Diane Webb

Psalms 40: 1—"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry."

The Lord has listened to you and has heard you cry. He has seen your discomfort and discontent. He has turned toward you before and helped you and he will do so again. You have waited patiently and it is time for him to answer your prayer. He knows what is best for you and will take care of things accordingly. You have submitted yourself unto the Lord and belong to him. He will use you as he will. He knows the long term results of each choice. He knows what the future holds. Therefore, where he chooses to use you will be the best place to go because he knows what is best and understands the possible consequences. You have in your mind what you want but it may not be the same as what God wants for you. Leave yourself open to possibilities. Don't be surprised when it is something you have not thought of yet. Just understand it will be best. Pray before making a decision about any opportunity because some are diversions and are not the one God has meant for you. Continue to prepare yourself. Keep yourself confident and positive about the future. Continue to focus on the work before you now and do the best you can with that. Let God take care of the future.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your blessings and thank you for looking out for me; I pray, Lord, that I can continue doing the work you have set before me and do it well. I look forward to serving you in any role or capacity you have prepared for me. Help me recognize the diversions and turn them away. Give me a strong understanding when the right opportunity presents. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

Endure

'Endure" By Diane Webb

James 1: 12—"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him."

God tests you from time to time. This strengthens you in areas that are weaker than others. Your weak spots are built up and you are able to endure temptation. Temptation will come sometimes but through the strength of the Lord you can and will resist. You can overcome and endure temptation. The more you overcome temptation, the stronger you will become. Sometimes God puts temptation before you to test you and strengthen you. When you are tried and you overcome you will be given the crown of life from the Lord. This is what he has promised all that love him. When you love the Lord you will resist temptation. Sometimes temptation is not about vices but is about controlling your emotions—especially your temper. When your temper is provoked you are being tested to see if you will fall for the temptation to lash out in anger. Do not allow yourself to fall into anger when tempted. Always resist the urge to express your anger towards another person. Resist and endure without falling.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for all you do for me. I pray, Lord, that I will not succumb to temptation. I pray I will endure as you would have me to. I pray I will prevail in the tests you put before me. I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Peace-maker

"Peace-maker" By Diane Webb

Psalms 37: 37—"Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."

Strive towards peace. You don't have control over the other person but you do have control over yourself. You do not have to respond in anger or criticism. You can respond in a peaceful way. Provide a good example for others to go by. Always be the one looking for a common ground. Peace is the best goal. Consider yourself a peace-maker not a strife-maker. You do not have to confront people. Let God do the confronting. You do not have to challenge people. Let God do the challenging. If given a choice always take the road that leads to peace. Jesus is your example to follow. He is the Prince of Peace. He came to the world to bring peace. Satan distorts the message of Christ and some people do evil in the name of God. This does not change the message of Jesus which is one of love and peace. Stay on the side of Jesus which is always the side of peacefulness. Anger is not of God but peace is. Do not be deceived by false prophets who teach hate and discord. Anyone advocating division among God's people is a false prophet. Go about your work today with peace as your ultimate goal. This is God's will for you today.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you once again for your word today. Thank you for the wisdom and discernment you have given me to use as I go about your work today. Help me be an instrument of peace today, Lord. I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Riches

"Riches" By Diane Webb

James 2: 5—"Hearken, my beloved brethren. Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?"

Love the Lord and keep your eyes on him and his kingdom. Do not get distracted by the cares of this world. Those who are rich in worldly things are not always rich in spiritual things. True riches come from faith in God and in his kingdom. Do not hunger after material possessions and worldly prestige. The glory and spender of heaven will be more than enough for you when the time comes. Your time on earth is but a blink of an eye in comparison to eternity. Your days here are numbered so each and every one needs to count towards the kingdom of God. Your reward is not of this earth. Although God wants you to be comfortable and an example of his love and provision, he does not want you to be wasteful, boastful, or flashy. Keep yourself low-key and remain humble. Do not desire the wealth of others. Do not compare your circumstances to that of others. God knows what is best for you and it is not right to question God's provision. Have faith and love him. That is all you need to do. He will take care of the rest.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for what you have given me and my family. I pray I will be a good steward of all you have blessed us with. Help me be even more thankful in my heart. Help me love you even stronger. I pray I will be a living testimony of your love. Help me be rich in faith. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Discernment

"Discernment" By Diane Webb

Psalms 37: 25—"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

God will take care of you and your children. You do not have to worry about money, clothes, or food. He provides for his children and he provides well. No one who is righteous in the Lord goes without food. Some are given more than others but all have something to eat. There is no need to be concerned with the future. The future is in his hands. He knows what is best for you and will provide accordingly. Make your decisions based on the will of God—what is best for the kingdom of God. Your role on earth is to fulfill his purpose for you in the kingdom of God. Let God decide where he wants you and let God place you there. You do not have to go out of your way to ensure you are doing the right work. Just allow God to work through you and everything else will fall into place. What is best for the kingdom of God is also best for you and your family. As you exercise more and more obedience, you will be more and more blessed. It is always about obedience. God will convict you so you will know what he expects of you. Listen to the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit will guide you.

Dear Heavenly Father, I want to be just where you want me. I accept whatever role you have for me to fulfill. Help me see, hear, and understand your guidance. Help me obey wholeheartedly. I pray for discernment today, Lord, so I can always know your will. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
