Your Life

"Your Life" By Diane Webb

Luke 12: 22—"And he said unto his disciples, therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on."

Your constant worry about your life is unnecessary and a waste. Keep thoughts of this world out of your mind. Your life on earth is just preparing you for all eternity where you will worship and praise the Lord forever. You are learning patience, trust, and dependence on God for all your needs. You are learning to be a good steward with what he has provided for you. You are learning to be thankful for what you have, your life, and your health. There is no greater accomplishment in this life than to please the Lord and have a righteous attitude. Resist the temptation to compare yourself and your life to others. Your life is your life and theirs is theirs. Do not insult your heavenly father who provides abundantly for you according to his will. He provides for each of his children according to his will. Worship and praise him now. Spend time with him now. Learn as much as you can about him now. This too will prepare you for his kingdom.

Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for any wrong attitude I have. Help me focus even more on you and your kingdom. Help me disregard the things of this world. Help me live my life for you according to your will. I ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

  1. I LOVE IT! My Pastor preached on getting our priorities straight today also! How cool is that? He was talking about how we tend to let our jobs dictate when we come to church, or our tithes depending on what bills we have, and so forth. He used the Prodical Son parable as an example of "squandering" our blessings, and messing up our priorities. Thank you for confirming his message!

Jump over to my blog and enter my book Give-Away. It is titled "Raising the Dead" and it is an EXCELLENT faith building book. I only have two people entered so far and it ends Thursday evening at 6. You can have as many as four entries, and all it takes is following me on Google, Facebook, Twitter, and if you are on Blog Frog, your identity there. God Bless!
