Seeds of peace

"Seeds of peace " By Diane Webb

James 3: 18—"And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace."

Do not stir up strife and discord. Be a peacemaker in all things. Righteousness and peace are planted together. As you work for peace you gain righteousness. Remember these words. As others grumble demonstrate a peaceful spirit. Do not encourage discontent or disgruntledness. Help people accept and become grateful. Demonstrate a calm demeanor. Through you let others gain a sense of security and peace. Many look to you for strength and encouragement. Do not feed the fires of anger and resentment. It is your responsibility to be a light for peace and harmony. Do not look for ulterior motives. Do not assume deceit and betrayal. Consider all is done in good faith. Support those in leadership so they can do their difficult job without the added stress of conflict. Be the leader of peacefulness and help your fellow men and women feel better about the situation. God still promises a change for you in the near future. However, in the mean time you are expected to remain as supportive as you can in your current situation.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me today to sow seeds of peace and righteousness. Keep me mindful of the scripture today. I pray I do nothing contrary to your will. I am thankful for all you have given me and my family. I trust you to take care of me in all things. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
